Platform Statement

It is with great passion for the profession, and a firm believer in TEPSA, that I submit my candidacy for TEPSA Vice President.

I am presently serving my second year as Member At-Large. My role on the Executive Committee is to increase TEPSA memberships and an awareness of what a TEPSA membership entails. I work diligently with regional presidents to build relationships and inform members of the tools and benefits a TEPSA membership offers.

As a woman of color, I will continue to offer an empathetic, realistic and optimistic perspective that represents the needs and concerns our minority communities face. It is important that our Executive Committee reflects the diverse members we serve.

There is no doubt the Pandemic had an impact on all Texas public schools. Despite the learning loss, our TEPSA members continued to stand tall and lead our Texas teachers and children. TEPSA is and will continue to be the gold star of professional development for our leaders in Texas. Our Summer Conference in 2022 was filled to capacity as our Texas leaders were eager to return to the “Conferences of all Summer Texas Conferences”.

It would be an honor to continue to be part of an organization that continues to advocate for Texas children and educators.
