Nomination and Selection Procedures

Nominee Requirements
Application is open to any active educator who is presently in preschool, elementary or middle school education in Texas. The nominee must have served as a full time school administrator and/or supervisor for at least five years in Texas. The nominee must have been a member of TEPSA for at least five years. State association officers are not eligible for nomination.

Each of the 20 regions develops their own nomination procedures and processes to encourage nominations. Each of the 20 regions  chooses a selection committee comprised of three or more individuals who represent recognized leadership in TEPSA, such as past nominees and past presidents. A chairperson shall be designated to receive nominations and applications.

 

Submission of Regional TEPSAN’s Information

The President is responsible for submitting the TEPSAN’s name to Elizabeth by December 13 along with a high-resolution, headshot. Email a fun candid photo to Cecilia by May 9. (Read Guidelines for Submitting a Photo.)

 

Recognition of TEPSANs

All 20 TEPSANs are recognized at the Summer Conference and receive an award from the Association. TEPSANs are listed in a publication distributed to all association members.
