Region Assistant Principals of the Year

Each TEPSA region recognizes a Regional Assistant Principal of the Year. The recipient must be a current member of TEPSA, in his/her second year (minimum) as an assistant principal and hold a lifetime mid-management, standard mid-management, or standard principal certificate. National Assistant Principal of the Year

Current TEPSA Region Assistant Principals of the Year are automatically considered for the National Assistant Principal of the Year Award, a recognition program produced in partnership with the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP). The award selection committee is led by a Past State President. The National AP of the Year for Texas receives $2500 and a one-year NAESP membership.

TEPSANs of the Year

Each TEPSA region recognizes a school leader for outstanding service to our association. The recipient must be a full-time Texas public school administrator/supervisor in grades PK-8 and a TEPSA member for at least 5 years. View recipients.

National Distinguished Principal (NDP)

NAESP will open the 2026 application process in late October.
