President
The Region President shall preside at all meetings of his or her TEPSA Region; shall be, ex-officio, a member of all committees except the nominating committee; appoint committees as needed; and perform other duties as required by the association. The President serves on the TEPSA Board of Directors and attends all meetings and performs all duties as described in the TEPSA Bylaws and Governance Policies and Procedures.
President-Elect
The Region President-Elect shall serve as an assistant to the President and assume the duties of President in the absence of the President. The President-Elect shall attend all meetings of the TEPSA Board of Directors, and shall exercise such other powers and duties as determined from time-to-time by the Region Executive Committee.
Board of Directors
The Board is comprised of 29 voting members: 20 region presidents, 3 standing committee chairpersons, 6 state elected officers. Non-voting members who attend meetings are: NAESP representative, NAESP Board member from Texas, executive director, chairs of other special committees, presidents-elect, and vice chairs of standing committees.
Responsibilities
- Approve Bylaws changes except those reserved for membership
- Approve Governance Policies and Procedures
- Approve committee reports
- Approve budget
- Approve special committees
- Approve committee appointments
- Approve actions of the Executive Committee
- Meet four times per year
