It’s All About That Group…Bout That Group…Small Grouping!

At NHE everyone student in grades K-2 receive 3 thirty minute reading small group rotations every day in addition to their whole group instruction. This session will explain to you how we have used those small group rotations to turn our reading program around. It will provide you with details of how to group students, how we use data trackers and what we do during those small group instructional times to move each student to reading levels that exceed EOY grade level expectations.
Attendance Rocks!: Ideas for Implementing a Comprehensive Campus Attendance Plan

Hear ideas of what did and what did not increase attendance from a principal who created a comprehensive attendance plan to increase daily attendance and decrease chronic absenteeism on his campus in his first year. Hear the story from initial goal-setting and research to implementation and success in leading the district in Average Daily Attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism by half.
