At their September 12 meeting, the Board of Directors approved sending the proposed Region Bylaws changes to TEPSA members for a vote. These updates are designed to standardize and clarify our volunteer positions. Active TEPSA members will receive an email October 27 to vote on the proposed Region Bylaws. Voting will be October 27-October 31.

TEPSA members have two volunteer options for serving as a leader in their area:

  1. TEPSA Standing Committees – Nominations are accepted each year, and appointments are made based on demographics and representation across the state. Standing Committees are approved by the Board of Directors each June. These volunteer leaders serve as members of their region leadership team.
  2. Region Officers – Elected at the local level, these active TEPSA members support school leaders in their region by planning local meetups, sharing information, and recruiting TEPSA members.

The proposed changes to the Region Bylaws will standardize these roles and ensure that members have equal representation across the state.
