Personal Information

I have been married to my wife, Josey, a high school Dual Speech teacher, for 9 years. We have a 7-year son, Matthew, who is in the 2nd grade. We enjoy traveling as a family and are always looking for a free weekend to catch any University of Houston sporting event!

Platform Statement

PJ Caposey reminds us that, “The most important rule of educational leadership is always to remember that people, not policies or programs, are what drive highly effective schools.” My experience as a TEPSA member has affirmed this truth. Time and again, I have witnessed the passion, commitment, and collective drive within this organization to strengthen Texas public education and support the leaders who make it possible.

TEPSA has played a powerful role in my own development as an educational leader. It is a space where learning is continuous, collaboration is encouraged, and leaders are equipped to better serve their campuses and communities. I am a strong advocate for professional growth—for myself, for fellow leaders, and for all educators who play a part in shaping the lives of children. Together, our shared experiences and diverse perspectives allow us to create meaningful change for districts and students across our state.

As campus leaders, we carry the responsibility of being a critical voice between teachers, administrators, and state decision-makers. TEPSA provides the platform to elevate those voices and champion the needs of the schools we serve. While there is still important work ahead, I believe they should continue to create those meaningful impacts to our kids and in the words of Dana, leave our unforgettable legacy.

I would not be able to do what I do without the support of my wife Josey and son Matthew.

My A Team – Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.

For the Kids! Who doesn’t like getting taped to the wall?!
