TLC: New Principal Mentoring

Certified Mentor Trainers, Ongoing Access and Support

Fifty percent of unmentored principals are not retained beyond their third year.*

It is imperative new principals have an unbiased, trained mentor who is committed to support and serve as a reflective coach rather than a "buddy” assigned based on location and/or years of service. The New Principal Mentoring Program is for any principal with 0-3 years experience in administration. Monthly one-on-one mentoring, fall in-person training, campus visits, book studies, development and review of the leadership action plan will be ongoing throughout the school year. The program culminates with a special session at the 2017 TEPSA Summer Conference. See the full list below of trainings and deliverables included for this program.
