Vision

The Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA), whose hallmark is educational leaders learning with and from each other, has served Texas PreK-8 school leaders since 1917. Member owned and member governed, TEPSA has more than 5,900 members who direct the activities of 3 million PreK-8 school children.

As PreK-8 education specialists, TEPSA:

  • Provides leadership training, networking opportunities, information and support for school leaders as we strive to improve the education of Texas school children and the working conditions of our members.
  • Maintains its positive impact on legislators, policy makers, communities and other stakeholders to improve the quality of childhood, public education and the principalship.
  • Continues to raise the level of respect for and prestige of the principalship and makes the principalship a highly desired leadership position.

An affiliate of the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), TEPSA is divided into 20 regions each led by a Region President. These regions have geographic boundaries similar to the Regional Service Centers. TEPSA is governed by a Board of Directors and led by a seven-member Executive Committee. TEPSA operates through four Standing Committees: Advocacy; Membership, Marketing and Public Relations; Programs and Services; and Special Committee on Elections.
